Position Summary

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Talent & Acquisition Coordinator. The role will support the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (STAS) with full cycle recruitment & support administrative functions as assigned by the People and Culture (P&C) Team. This is a hybrid role, and attendance at the Sheppard office will be required on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the STAS & Generalist of P&C with daily administrative functions (including but not limited to: booking calendar invites, conducting references and administering hiring checks, as well as spreadsheet management for recruitment tracking)
  • Updating the People & Culture SharePoint site
  • Onboarding new hires and offboarding departing employees
  • Assist in pre-screening resumes to ensure applicants meet minimum job requirements
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates to support continuous requirement, as required
  • Respond to applicants regarding status, navigating company career site and all other recruiting related application questions
  • Experience with posting on job boards as well as attending job fairs and working with universities to recruit co-op students 
  • Assist with recruitment and talent development initiatives when required 
  • Other tasks, projects and duties as assigned

Education

  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred 
  • 1-2 years of previous recruitment experience
  • CHRP or in the process of obtaining CHRP an asset

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of previous HR experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of internal and external recruitment workflows in order to support the STAS and the overall recruitment process
  • Experience using MS Office applications required (Word, Outlook, Excel with a strong emphasis on using SharePoint and PowerPoint)
  • Experienced with using a applicant resume tracking system
  • Excellent time management skills and capacity to take direction
  • Ability to work and think independently  
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high organizational skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
