Position Summary

We are looking for a Licensed Insolvency Trustee to join our insolvency tax practice. This is a hybrid role and attendance at the North York office is required.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities and deliverables are listed below:
  • Meet Debtors and help them design a strategy to resolve their tax debts.
  • Negotiate with CRA to get a formal settlement.
  • Perform initial meetings and sign-up meetings.
  • Chair meetings of creditors and negotiating with creditors as applicable.
  • Develop a franchise of new referral sources including other professionals.

Qualifications
 
  • 5-10 years minimum of experience as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ambitious, driven to build a practice
  • Compassionate, efficient, fast learner
  • Enjoys challenging work, and strives for excellence and results
  • Able to build, lead & manage a team of professionals to support the practice
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic to build the practice
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and able to manage competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met and client satisfaction is maximized
  • Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and logical; able to navigate through issues and provide effective solutions to problems
  • Strong financial analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
  • LIT, CA or knowledge of Income Tax is an asset
