Content Marketing Manager (Contract Remote)

Our award-winning, high-performing Marketing team is growing and we’re looking for a dynamic Content Marketing Manager to join us on contract. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of our content strategy, working closely with internal, cross-functional teams, external agency partners, and freelancers to ensure alignment with organizational goals. You will help shape our brand's narrative and voice, driving engagement and growth through compelling, data-driven content.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of SEO best practices and knows how to create content that not only resonates with audiences but also performs in search. Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy Development:
  • Support the development of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify target audiences, content themes, and distribution channels to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Ensure content reflects brand consistency, and tone of voice.

SEO-Driven Content Creation & Optimization:
  • Lead the creation, curation, and publication of high-quality, search-optimized content across multiple channels, including blogs, social media, video, email, and websites.
  • Leverage insights provided by our SEO agency to inform content decisions and ensure all content is optimized for search visibility and user experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to produce engaging, informative, and compelling content that aligns with broader marketing campaigns.

Content Calendar & Workflow Management:
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring alignment with key marketing initiatives and business objectives.
  • Manage workflows for content creation, approvals, and publication, coordinating with internal teams and external freelancers/agencies.

Content Distribution & Promotion:
  • Develop and execute distribution strategies to maximize reach and impact, leveraging organic and paid channels such as social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and content syndication.
  • Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to optimize content for lead generation.
Performance Tracking & Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using key metrics such as traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and SEO rankings.
  • Leverage analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Sprout Social) to gain insights and optimize content for better performance.
  • Conduct A/B tests and implement data-driven optimizations to improve content effectiveness.
Budget & Resource Management:
  • Manage the content marketing budget effectively, allocating resources efficiently for content creation, distribution, and promotion.
  • Oversee external content vendors, freelancers, and agency partners to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Industry Trend Monitoring & Innovation:
  • Stay up to date on content marketing trends, and SEO best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and push boundaries within our category.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with GA4, Sprout Social, and other content analytics tools
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz is an asset
  • Experience in social media management tools is a plus
