Role Summary 

Are you an energetic, resourceful, curious, and data-driven performance marketer who excels at leading` marketing teams and working with agency partners that love to deliver innovative media strategies and optimize media investments?  If so, then you’ll love this challenge.   

As the head of Performance Marketing, you’ll report directly to, and partner with, our VP, Marketing.  You will join us as a key member of the Marketing Leadership team and be a go-to subject matter leader for the company.  You will be responsible for setting the performance marketing strategy and ensuring our digital media investments are fully optimized, with the goal of generating and capturing greater demand that converts into qualified Leads, resulting in significant customer growth.   

This role leads a small but experienced, skilled, and growing performance marketing team, along with a roster of ad agencies and contractors.  You will also collaborate and consult with the rest of the marketing team and fully leverage our internal experts on the IT, Data & Project Management teams - all while overseeing the management of high-profile marketing projects.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • First and foremost, lead, coach and motivate a growing team of passionate, curious, and experienced performance marketers, along with a roster of media agencies 

  • Support and deliver against the overall marketing strategies, across all digital channels by developing integrated performance marketing strategies to create and capture the growing demand for our services 

  • Oversee the implementation of all our performance marketing plans, in collaboration with internal and external partners across various channels that include but not limited to SEM, SEO, Mobile, Programmatic, Display, OLV, CTV, and paid Social 

  • Develop forecasts, set clear KPIs, and well-defined measures of success, reporting on results and providing recommendations for continuous improvement 

  • Implement where needed and ensure we have the appropriate tracking to measure and analyze our online media spend 

  • Champion and utilize Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution and cohort analyses to continuously refine investment strategy and optimize ROI 

  • Monitor the shifting consumer online habits & preferences, the market & media trends, our competitive landscape, and customer feedback, to uncover consumer insights to inform strategic marketing direction and to increase marketing effectiveness 

  • Develop and manage, in collaboration with IT and the MLT, our marketing technology strategy and multi-year resourcing plan   

  • Manage the performance marketing budget and deliver all projects/activities within agreed budgets and timelines 

  • Lead the ongoing effort to conceptualize, test, evaluate and present new go-to-market tactics, programs, & campaigns, that drive the highest possible performance  

  • Manage agency resources to maximize value utilizing their specific expertise to extend the capabilities of the internal team 

  • Build organizational rigor, foster a collaborative working environment, and model a positive team-first culture for your team and across the company 


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital/performance marketing, learned & delivered in fast-paced, agile & growth-based, lead generation organizations 

  • Proven leadership skills in the ability to recruit, mentor, motivate, coach and develop employees 

  • Strong understanding of digital/performance marketing in the lead generation space, with demonstrated funnel optimization experience and a proven track record of results   

  • Strategic thinker, with a curious and creative mindset that values constant and ongoing learning through constant experimentation 

  • Effective communication with stakeholders across all levels, with the ability to simplify the complex, and bring data insights to life 

  • A data-backed and results-driven mindset, adept at analyzing results, finding insights, and creating action plans to deliver ongoing improvements  

  • Proven success with developing and implementing digital media plans, including strategic planning, resource management, tactical implementation, and end-to-end testing plans 

  • You have experience developing and managing online ad campaigns & digital strategies across all platforms 

  • You are passionate about the evolving digital marketing landscape and a strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in the digital marketing space 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, manage through ambiguity effectively, fostering teamwork, open communication and improving collaboration 

  • Exceptional eye for detail and great problem solving and decision-making skills
