  • Remote, Ontario

Company Information

Farber is one of Canada’s oldest, largest and most respected debt solution providers. We help Canadians get out of debt and start rebuilding their lives again. Established in 1979, Farber has almost 300 employees working across the country and has helped well over 100,000+ Canadians get out of debt.

And now, we’re embarking on our next stage of transformation & significant growth. To do that, we are hiring experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, innovative, and client-centric team members to play critical roles in helping us reach our ambitious goals.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a people-first leader to build and lead our Project Management Office (PMO).

Position Summary

Farber is seeking a Senior Programmatic & Paid Social Manager to join our Consumer Practice. Reporting to the Director, Performance Marketing, this role will lead the execution, optimization, and strategic advancement of Farber’s non-search paid media portfolio, with a primary focus on programmatic and paid social.
You will be the first line of accountability for agency-managed media by independently monitoring delivery and performance, challenging recommendations with evidence, and owning platform governance so issues are caught and fixed before they become costly.
This is a high-impact role for a performance marketer who combines strong channel expertise with sharp analytical thinking, operational discipline, and a test-and-learn mindset. You will help define and build Farber's future-state capabilities across DSPs, paid social platforms, ad operations, and measurement. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience across programmatic and paid social, strong judgment on media strategy and channel economics, and a genuine curiosity for how data, technology, and creative can work together to unlock more efficient growth.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Execution

  • Own day-to-day oversight of Farber’s non-search paid media investment across programmatic and paid social, ensuring campaigns are executed effectively, paced accurately, and optimized against business goals.

  • Partner closely with agency teams and platform partners to manage campaign setup, trafficking coordination, QA, pacing, monitoring, and optimization across DSPs and paid social platforms.

  • Drive media strategy and execution across display, online video, CTV, OTT, and paid social channels.

  • Lead paid social campaign oversight through the agency across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and other relevant channels, ensuring campaigns align with audience strategy, acquisition goals, creative best practices, and channel economics.

  • Manage paid amplification and boosting of owned social content, helping identify high-priority content and brand moments that warrant paid support to extend reach, engagement, and downstream conversion opportunities.

  • Identify and address performance issues quickly through bid, budget, audience, placement, inventory, and creative adjustments across both programmatic and paid social.

  • Ensure strong campaign foundations through proper tagging, pixel implementation, naming conventions, and media data hygiene.

Partner Accountability & Governance

  • Hold agency and platform partners accountable to agreed SLAs for pacing, QA, issue detection and escalation; independently monitor spend, delivery and performance anomalies rather than relying on agency reporting.

  • Evaluate agency and platform partner recommendations, quantifying expected impact on CPL, cost per opportunity and lead gap, and cross-channel trade-offs before approving budget or tactic changes.

  • Own platform governance across DSPs and paid social, including Business Manager and account access, user permissions, spend limits, payment controls and security standards.

  • Ensure campaigns meet financial-services advertising policies, platform certifications and internal compliance review prior to launch.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Deliver insight, not recaps: for every performance readout, articulate what happened, why it happened, and what we should do next, with a clear recommendation and expected impact.

  • Optimize toward downstream outcomes (lead quality, lead-to-opportunity rate and CRM-attributed results), not platform-reported conversions alone; design incrementality and lift tests to validate channel contribution.

  • Analyze media mix, channel allocation, budget distribution, forecasting, and pacing against lead generation and acquisition targets.

  • Partner with Analytics and agency teams to interpret performance across daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cadences and turn findings into action.

  • Drive a disciplined testing agenda across audiences, creative, placements, landing pages, and channel tactics, including A/B and incrementality testing.

Strategy, Innovation & Collaboration

  • Shape audience-first, first-party data-informed media strategies that improve targeting, channel mix, and investment efficiency across non-search paid media.

  • Help define how programmatic and paid social work together across the funnel, including retargeting strategy, sequential messaging, reinforcement, and cross-channel learning.

  • Assess new tools, platform features, and emerging media opportunities with a practical lens on business value, scalability, measurement, and operational fit.

  • Partner closely with Digital Marketing, Analytics, Web, Social, Brand, Content, and agency teams to align paid media plans with broader business priorities and improve performance across the digital ecosystem.

  • Help raise the bar on media operations, documentation, and performance standards as Farber matures its in-house capability.

  • Mentor junior team members where applicable, supporting strong execution, channel development, and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in digital media, with strong depth in programmatic, paid social, campaign optimization, and performance analysis.

  • Proven track record holding agency and platform partners accountable for delivery, QA and performance, including challenging recommendations with data.

  • Experience optimizing to downstream outcomes (lead quality, CRM-attributed conversions) and designing incrementality or lift tests.

  • Experience advertising in a regulated category (financial services preferred), including platform ad policies, certifications and compliance review.

  • Hands-on, in-platform experience running campaigns in DV360, CM360, StackAdapt and Meta Ads Manager; experience with The Trade Desk, TikTok Ads Manager and Reddit Ads is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of paid social campaign structure, amplification and boosting tactics, audience strategy, creative testing, and platform-specific optimization levers.

  • Strong working knowledge of tracking methodologies, attribution, full-funnel measurement, and performance evaluation across programmatic and paid social.

  • Fluency in pixel implementation, UTM governance, taxonomy standards, and media data hygiene best practices.

  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics and media measurement or attribution platforms.

  • Working ad operations knowledge: trafficking and QA, creative specs, click tracker and UTM setup, pixel troubleshooting, discrepancy resolution, and verification/brand safety tools such as IAS and DoubleVerify.

  • Exposure to Dynamic Creative Optimization and creative automation (e.g., Smartly, Hunch) is an asset.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and problem-solving ability in a fast-moving environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex performance data into concise, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
