Position Summary

The Process Owner is responsible for understanding, mapping, improving, and governing core operational processes. They act as the day-to-day curator of how work flows, ensuring processes are efficient, well-documented, measurable, and continuously improved. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Process Discovery & Mapping 

  • Document current-state workflows using standardized notation (BPMN, swimlanes, flow diagrams, etc.). 

  • Identify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 

Requirements & Analysis 

  • Run workshops, interviews, and observations to extract business needs. 

  • Translate findings into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures. 

Operational Improvement Support 

  • Partner with Central Ops / SMEs to validate ideas, scope improvements, and support delivery through the intake → assessment → planning → execution flow  

  • Contribute to business cases, impact analysis, and prioritization scoring. 

Governance & Documentation 

  • Maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and playbooks. 

  • Track metrics tied to process performance (cycle times, error rates, throughput, etc.). 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with stakeholders across Operations, IT, and PMO to ensure alignment. 

  • Participate in stand-ups, planning reviews, and retros to keep processes evergreen. 


Qualifications 

  • 2–4 years in Business Analysis, Operations, Continuous Improvement, or similar. 

  • Experience mapping processes and gathering business requirements. 

Skills 

  • Process mapping & analysis 

  • Requirements elicitation 

  • Basic data analysis (Excel, BI tools, or similar) 

  • Strong communication & facilitation 

  • Basic understanding of Agile concepts 

Nice to Have / Growth Areas 

  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or improvement frameworks 

  • Interest in Product Ownership concepts (roadmaps, backlogs, value measurement)
